By completing the initial application form we can see whether you are eligible to apply for a grant. We are only able to consider applications for recuperation following a recent illness or injury, the criteria are:

  • after minor surgery, help may be available for up to 2 weeks
  • after major surgery, help may be available for up to 6 weeks
  • ongoing conditions, there has been a recent acute episode in your condition. 

We cannot consider applications for financial hardship.

  • Applications relating to surgery must include the date of surgery/upcoming surgery and details of the surgery
  • Applications relating to ongoing conditions must include the date of the recent acute episode and details of that episode. If there has not been a recent acute episode in your ongoing condition we are unable to consider an application for a grant
